I have broad research interests related to computational intelligence. In terms of algorithm design, currently I am focusing mainly on expensive/inexpensive mixed-integer programming and bilevel optimization. I am also quite interested in the interdisciplinary applications of computational intelligence. 1) Theory: how and why evolutionary algorithms work on optimization problems, in particular, how to establish coordinate systems in evolutionary algorithms. 2) Algorithm design: evolutionary algorithms for different kinds of optimization problems, such as: Single-objective optimization problems Constrained optimization problems (single- and multi-objective constrained optimization, expensive constrained optimization, constrained experimental design, dynamic constrained optimization, etc) Multiple-criteria decision-making Nonlinear equation systems Bilevel optimization Mixed-integer programming 3) Application: computational intelligence for real-world applications in different fields, such as: Automotive lightweight design Intelligent robots and systems (Humanoid robots and swarm robots) Mobile edge computing + blockchain + IoT + UAVs Medical big data Renewable energy Cheminformatics and bioinformatics
